Drawings and paintings made in Espresso-essence on paper
In my drawings, painted with espresso, I focus on meaningful things in life
and on precious insights about our existence. I am especially interested
in contemplative situations when we rediscover how joyful a single moment
can be and how little we need to be happy. We often live our lives rushed
and sometimes under pressure. However, stepping out of the rat race
from time to time is very important, to appreciate what we already have
and to get in touch with what we really want.
It All Starts With A Cup of Coffee is a project where I allow myself to be most
playful, to think deeply and explore human encounters from the perspective
of different cultural meanings of drinking coffee.
Coffee stands for relationships. We drink coffee in private or business company,
or we take a cup alone - then it is about the relation with ourselves.
The three phenomenona combined here - art, relationships and coffee – enrich
our lives. In its own way, each one brings us in touch with our core values,
triggers new ideas and makes us more productive. Each one offers recognition,
contemplation and, pure and simple, happiness.
